The Sun Rising from the Valley
In this work written by author İlhan Akın, the life of Osman Hulusi Efendi, from his birth to his death, is presented to the reader in a fluent style. In the preface of the book, author İlhan Akın describes him as follows: A master of Persian and Arabic, who established a vast “Divan” (collection of poems), illuminating the world from Darende with the light of his knowledge, initiating numerous services, building complexes, hospitals, schools, factories, and mosques – a lover of service who considered these as virtues… who, instead of exposing flaws, glorified good people; who reconciled those who were estranged and guided social life; who made it his goal with his knowledge that goodness should prevail over evil; who guided humanity by saying, “Let honesty be your gain, let loyalty be your motto…”; and who was known as “Darendevî” because he was born and died in Darende.
“Every book is an invisible bridge stretching from the author’s mind to the reader’s soul.”
